Engineering

The engineer receives the driver’s telemetry in real time without being on the same PC and without setting up a VPN.

Plan: requires Ultimate (or the free trial). See Plans.

  1. Open Share Telemetry.
  2. Tap Enable Sharing. The app generates a pairing code that expires.
  3. Send the code to the engineer.

  1. Open Engineering → Start Connection.
  2. Enter the driver’s code.
  3. Once connected, the driver’s screen shows “Engineer connected”.

To finish, the driver taps End Sharing.

The monitoring screen has these tabs:

Tab Content
Lap/Lap Live lap table: tyre, wear, forecast, ERS, fuel, wings
Map and Pit Track map and pit information
Grid Grid view
Rival Comparison with a rival (vehicle and battery)
Weather Track and weather conditions
📷 Engineer monitor — Lap/Lap tab

The tabs and the driver chips change color according to the track situation:

Color Situation
Yellow Safety Car or Virtual Safety Car
Red Red flag
Green Green flag

Hover (or tap) the driver chip to open a menu listing the slow drivers at that moment. The app detects slow cars by an abrupt drop in speed.

Recorded sessions live under Saved Sessions, so you can analyze laps and drivers after the race. If the driver disconnects, the analysis draft is saved.

The analysis has three tabs:

Tab What it shows
Laps Each driver’s laps and times
Tyres Each tyre set (laps used, wear % per lap, when pace drops and when it becomes critical) and the pit loss
Grid Final grid with team, start, best lap, tyres and pits. Only available if the session reached the end

Use Generate report to export the PDF, which also includes the Tyres and Grid sections.

If the connection drops, the app warns “Engineer/driver connection lost”. Pair again with a new code.
